Appeals and Complaints Policy

The UrNammu Journal of Business, Accounting and Technology Management (UJBATM) is committed to maintaining high standards of editorial integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing. As part of this commitment, UJBATM provides a clear process for handling appeals and complaints related to editorial decisions, processing delays, and potential breaches of publication ethics.

Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to:
• Appeals against editorial decisions (e.g., rejection of a manuscript),
• Complaints regarding delays in manuscript handling, review, or publication,
• Concerns about possible violations of ethical or procedural standards, including authorship, conflict of interest, or plagiarism.

Procedure for Appeals and Complaints
1. Initial Contact:
o Authors and contributors should first contact the Editor-in-Chief or the handling Editor to address concerns or seek clarification.
o Appeals against editorial decisions should be made in writing, clearly stating the grounds for the appeal and any supporting evidence or justification.

2. Escalation:
o If the complaint involves the Editor-in-Chief or handling Editor, or if the issue is not resolved satisfactorily, the matter should be escalated to the journal’s administrative or publishing contact, via email to: urnammuacademy@gmail.com.
o Please refer to the Contact Us page on the [UJBATM website] for relevant contact details.

3. Further Action:
o In cases where no dedicated publishing contact is available on the website, complaints may be formally submitted via email to: editor_ujbatm@urnammuacademy.org.
o All appeals and complaints will be acknowledged promptly and reviewed in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

4. Resolution:
o A thorough and fair assessment will be conducted, and a final decision will be communicated to the complainant in a timely manner.
o UJBATM reserves the right to consult external advisors or the editorial board if needed.

Guidance for Authors
• Appeals must be respectful, evidence-based, and submitted within 30 days of the editorial decision.
• Authors should not submit a revised version of a rejected manuscript unless specifically invited to do so.
• UJBATM is committed to resolving complaints professionally and encourages open communication to improve the quality and efficiency of its processes.
