Promote Your Work

We leverage our UJBATM's website to maximise the visibility of your journal article. However, no one is better positioned to advocate for your work than you—the author. Your engagement can significantly increase readership, downloads, citations, and overall impact.

To help you get started, we’ve compiled some top tips for promoting your research effectively:

Update Your Email Signature
Include your article title with a direct link in your email signature. With the average person sending over 40 emails per day, this is a simple yet powerful way to raise awareness.

Highlight Your Work at Events
Teaching or presenting at a conference? Feature your publication on the final slide of your presentation.

Engage Your Networks
Share news of your publication across relevant academic and professional circles—via contact lists, forums, associations, and listservs.

Add It to Your Website or Blog
If you manage a personal website or blog, be sure to include a direct link to your work. This helps drive organic traffic and boosts search engine visibility.

Maximise Social Media
Share your research on platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Academia.edu. Use relevant hashtags, tag collaborators, and engage in related conversations.

Issue a Press Release
If your findings may appeal to non-academic audiences, consider working with your institution’s press office or communications team to create a press release.

Engage Your Institution
Make sure your campus librarian and bookstore have copies in stock and are aware of your work. Encourage them to provide access via UJBATM website or your publication's hosting platform.

Promoting your work doesn't stop at publication—it's an ongoing process. With a few simple steps, you can significantly increase the visibility and impact of your research. Let your voice be heard, and your work be seen.
