Plagiarism Policy

The UrNammu Journal of Business, Accounting and Technology Management (UJBATM) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All manuscripts submitted to UJBATM are subject to plagiarism screening using reputable software such as Turnitin.

Plagiarism—whether in the form of copying text, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate submission, or misrepresentation of authorship—is considered a serious ethical breach. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or including knowingly false or misleading statements constitutes unethical publishing conduct and is strictly prohibited.

Screening Process and Tolerance Level
Each submission to UJBATM undergoes automatic plagiarism screening during the editorial review process. Manuscripts displaying textual similarity exceeding 20%—excluding properly cited sources, bibliography, and commonly used phrases—may be rejected or returned for revision, depending on the severity and context. Figures, tables, and mathematical equations are currently not assessed by similarity tools.

It is important to note that a high similarity score does not automatically imply plagiarism. For instance, a 30% similarity score may indicate one source or multiple minor overlaps. Therefore, all similarity reports are reviewed by UJBATM's editorial experts, who interpret the context and determine whether any ethical concerns exist.
